You are invited to join Dr. T. D. Worthington for this week’s edition of PathLight. In this study, we are going to discuss the fact that Jesus was the Son of David, and we’re going to take a look at how the kingship and kingdom of Jesus are related to David. Not just from the genealogy, but as a working model of our Lord’s eternal kingship.
To know Jesus as the Scripture presents Him, requires a growing knowledge of David. Luke identifies Christ with David dozens of times in his gospel and in the book of Acts. The Bible gives us several features of the Davidic kingship, which identify closely with the kingship of Christ. David’s kingship was unlike any other the world had ever seen, so will be the kingship of Christ. Join us as we study together “The Son of David.”
