📚 The Facts And The Story ✝️

In our study today we find that it’s one week after the resurrection and the disciples are in the same place they were on resurrection night. They are in the same room behind the same locked doors. (John 20:24-29)

So, if the resurrection is such a big deal, such a life changing event, why are they still stuck in the same place? What difference—in a whole week-- has the empty tomb made? How has it changed them? Has it let them see themselves and their world differently? Has it done anything for them? It doesn’t look as if it’s made much difference at all.

Actually, we all know that Christ’s resurrection was a big deal.  The empty tomb was a life changing event. The resurrection does make a difference in our lives; but it also takes time. 

Once the Holy Spirit is given it will take less time, but it will still take time.
