I want people to hear the voice of God. Actually, that is one of the duties of any pastor; to encourage the flock to listen to the Good Shepherd. However, there is something I have noticed over the years. Now, this is just a personal observation, I don’t have any research to back-up my claim, but after decades of experience; I think I’m right.
My observation is this: People who have trouble really listening to others, also have trouble listening to the Lord. The person who pays little attention to what his spouse says, often ignores what his boss says, and frequently pays little attention to what his kids may be saying, seldom pays any attention to what God says.
