It is likely that we will face many challenges in this coming year. This week I would like to give you a “pep talk” of encouragement and motivation. One of the best examples is found in Joshua, chapter 1. In this chapter, Joshua has taken over for Moses. Moses had just died and was buried in Moab, without ever setting foot into the Promised Land.
Joshua was going to be the new leader of this group of people that had just spent 40 years wandering in the wilderness. Joshua must have felt overwhelmed as Israel’s new leader. Joshua was not only put in charge, but he was immediately given the responsibility of moving into the Promised Land while overcoming the enemies that awaited their arrival.
