🚰 Sipping The Sweet Water 🙌

Join Dr. T.D. Worthington for the May 23rd Edition of the Pathlight Program.

Do you remember the incident at Marah?  The children of Israel were thirsty in the wilderness but even as they found water the water was too bitter to drink.  Then God shows Moses a tree and Moses is instructed to throw this tree into the water.

But why does Moses need to do this?  Jehovah is all powerful, and He could easily make the water sweet without using a piece of wood.  But, by instructing Moses to throw the tree into the water, the Lord shows us what may be missing from our lives.

When Israel received water out of the rock it was not bitter, but the water at Marah came out of the earth. The earth had tainted it, the flavor of earth has gotten into the blessing. So, it is with most of our blessings; by reason of our sin and infirmity too much of the flavor of earth enters into the gift of heaven.

That could be why you have lost your joy and why your life seems to be stagnant, the world has seeped into it.

Are there areas of your Christian life where the world has seeped in and made the waters bitter?  If so, join Dr. T. D. Worthington for this week’s PathLight message entitled “Sipping the Sweet Water.”
